Miam Cushions
At BonjourMonCoussin.com I've found these delicious pillows - or should I say cushions?. For €34 each, you can choose from the different themes available: Reclames, Vintage, Miam, Paris, Kids, Cash and so on.
I've selected some of my personal favourites, as usual, but there are 49 or so models.
Talk to Dove before it's too late!
I've just discovered that Unilever, the company that makes products like Dove, is involved in destroying rainforest to make ingredients for Dove soap and other popular products. I've written to Unilever to ask them to change, please do the same and help spread the word.
Visit the Greenpeace webpage for the campaign: www.greenpeace.org/dove

Pixel couch
This is "old news", but still good news: some guy has created the Pixel couch which looks just about as good as a couch can look. I can't imagine something more coloful or joyful to relax in. Do you? :)

How about modular carpet tiles?
We use marble tiles for our floors, then why shouldn't we be able to use modular carpet tiles too?
Flor.com has plenty of designs to choose from, from solid colors to flowers or even cartoon characters. My favourites are, of course, the colorful flowers and stripes, but you will certainly find something to love on their website. And please don't take my word for this!
The price is $11,99 per tile and each carpet tile is 19.7" x 19.7" - that's 50 cm x 50 cm. The tiles are perfect for hotels since you can create any shape to cover rooms of different sizes.
To install the carpet tiles, you will need the sticky dots which connect the tiles with each other, without sticking them to the floor.

Bags to go

So you always forget to carry a bag when you go shopping? Or, perhaps, you end up in a supermarket when you weren't supposed to be there?
It happens to me all the time. And even if I know that I'm about to find myself carrying lots of grocery, I still forget to carry a bag with me. Plus, word is that those plastic bags we get for free or buy at the supermarket will soon be history.
What to do, what to do?
How about carrying a bag that's so small, it won't give you a headache and will definitely look better than a plastic or paper bag?
For 12 bucks, Flip & Tumble can give you bags that... flip and tumble like a pair of socks. And, of course, they look really cool with all those colors. :D

Stop and smell the spring
This is one of those pictures I know I'll always remember. The idea is simple: it's meant to simply brighten your day.
Seen here.

Honey, where's my tea?
Beastie Boys sang I like my sugar with coffee and cream in their first song, Intergalactic. I, too, like my sugar (!) with coffee and cream and am not a fan of the more healthy and natural honey. I don't really know why, I just don't like its taste.
But some people do like honey and they would certainly like to be able to carry some in a bag along with their favorite tea. Because it's sticky and messy, until now, this was almost impossible.
Well... until now! Canadian company Island Abbey Foods Ltd. has managed to create the 100% natural, solid honey drop. It's called Honibe (Pure Honey Joy), contains no additives, no sugar, nothing but honey and it is solid. All you have to do is drop it into a cup of hot beverage, stir until it's dissolved and then enjoy.
Honibe comes in boxes of 20 pieces and can be ordered for 12 bucks at honibe.com.

Moo! Bijoux!
You gotta love these handmade [and also custom made] accessories!
I wanted something special for my special someone so I asked the nice people at Moo Bijoux to create a pendant with his alias/blog name. The result was perfect and he liked it too [he's wearing it so I can only assume he likes it].
Of course I needed to have one of those wonderful "toys" so I chose a very cute cow. Just browse accesorii.blogspot.com. There has to be something for you there, too.
One color or all of them?
I've always stated I love colors. All of them, either combined or individually. But some people seem to love colors even more. Some wear just the one favourite, perfect color that they love, while others surround themselves with all the colors of the rainbow--and beyond that.
New York Magazine has an article on five New-Yorkers--four of them designers--who only wear one color, every day of their lives. Now that's loyalty! Here's the story.
I especially like the "green story", but all of them are worth reading.
But, of course, there's more:
How much does one have to love colors to do this?
I hardly re-arrange my clothes in the closet... and sorting them by color would be almost impossible!
There's another picture of the "Rainbow bookshelf" here.

Pimp your laptop!
I have recently "pimped" my laptop with a sticker I made myself and it looks alright, but I wish I had found this website first: aspoke.com has very cool laptop stickers (or skins) at a pretty reasonable price. That is if you think 20 euros is reasonable.
Here are some of my favorite designs (I'm sure if you look, you'll find one you like and you'll thank me later):

Handmade designer jewelry
Designer jewelry - because Irina Blok is a designer :)
I found some interesting necklaces and bracelets, and what's really cool about them is that they are all handmade. Here are my personal favorites:

Funky chairs to brighten your day
Bubble Chair, from Aarnio Eero. Simple design, great looks. It hangs from the ceiling and is made of transparent acrylic, which is heated and blown into shape like a soap bubble. You gotta love it!
IKEA has these cute Urban Chairs that come in green, red and white. They are stackable so you can save space when not using them and the hole in the seat drains water off. An Urban Chair is 81 cm tall and retails for $39,99 in the US. Well, there's really nothing too special about this chair, but it's green, and it's from IKEA so you gotta love it! I know I do.
If you like what you see, first of all, you should know that its price is $1,250. If that didn't scare you off, continue reading. The name is Hoffman Kubus, and it's covered in "the finest Italian leather". Comes in black and white and it's already made me wanna rest for a couple of hours. Would look good in a fancy club, as well as in my living room. But at that price, I'll pass.
Another good looking piece is Suma Chair, which comes in a set of 2 for $239. Supposedly ideal for those who are looking to combine style and substance. I'd buy it just for the color (comes in orange and black, by the way) although I'm not too sure it's that comfortable. I like to rest my hands on something other than a steel bar.
Oh, joy! iJoy is the name of this massage chair which could be yours for £599. Yup, I know it's pretty expensive, but wouldn't you want to have your own personal massager, without having to ask your "significant other" to massage your back? I know I would! It comes in camel and red and is made of faux suede.
That's it for now, I already feel dissatisfied with my chairs. All of my chairs. :D
